Two things that I have done well this year are my weekly math tests, and my 6 Easy Steps for Mummification Pamphlet. My math tests for one because I think I did well on them, and my 6 Easy Steps for Mummification Pamphlet because I worked fairly hard on that pamphlet.
Two areas that I need to improve on are my science worksheet assignments because sometimes I don't fully understand the lesson, and my famous people's reports because when I begin to write everything out, everything is very disorganized.
My goals for the rest of the year are to study more often instead of procrastinated and cramming at the very last minute. Also to put more effort into my daily work.
My goals for becoming a better learner are paying more attention to teachers by taking notes every so often, and to participate more often in class.

Reflection on Famous People Reports:
I think that I improved on my famous people reports because when we just started famous people reports, I wasn't exactly sure what one looked like, and what the components of a well-written report was supposed to be like. But with practice I gradually began to improve. On my second famous people report on Kristen, I wouldn't exactly say I did a spectacular job. That basically made me disappointed with myself because I knew I could do better. What I did wrong was my mechanics and ideas. So, when writing my third famous people report I tried very hard, thank-you very much. I edited, and edited, making sure I had little to no mistakes so that my report would be perfect. And you know what? All that hard work paid off, because I was given 40/40 of that report. I was very proud of that particular report! J

Reflection:
For our Language Arts novel study we read a book called The Outsider's by S.E Hinton. The Outsiders is a novel about a greaser named Ponyboy Curtis who deals with a corrupted environment. In his 14 years, he has dealt with death, tobacco and murder. As an assignment we were to create a newsletter for one of the events that had happened in the novel. I chose to report the burning church building and the murder of Robert Sheldon. For this particular assignment I did many rough drafts and numerous revisions because the assignment was worth a lot of marks. I earned 64/65 on this assignment. Where I lost the one mark was my "extra". It wasn't up to standards. To have made my newsletter better, I think I could have made another "extra" to earn that extra mark. Hockey Report
3D Hockey Visual and Hockey Report
Reflection:
In Language Arts class we did a unit about famous Canadian hockey players and I researched Tim Horton.
We were to write a report and create a 3D visual object about the hockey player you chose to research. For
my 3D visual object I created a hockey rink out of a shoe box. We peer evaluated in class and I received
20/20, and 20/20 from my teacher. One of the comments I received was "I really like that you put so much
information about Tim Horton. Great job!"

Probability Question
1) How many possible choices of trip plans can she make?
Billy can make 18 possible trip plans. To find the total possible choices of trip plans (or total possible outcomes TPO) you multiply the number of bottom possibilities by the number of top possibilities. Refer the the diagram above.
2) How many possible choices if she travels by train?
Billy has 6 possible choices if she travels by train. To find out how many choices if she travels by train, refer the the probability diagram. By circling all the trains and whats attached to them, we see the total possibilities of her plans if she travels by train.
3) What is the probability that she will choose to go to Calgary on a Train and stay with a friend?
The probability that Billy will choose to go to Calgary on a train and stay with a friend is 1/18, a 5.5% chance. By referring to the diagram (located above this article) to the blue coloured text and blue coloured circle. To find the percent from a fraction, we divide the numerator by the denominator.

Theoretical and Experimental Probability
The difference between experimental and theoretical probability is that theoreticial probability is what should happen, and experimental probability is what actually happens when you try it out.
